Easy & Inexpensive DIY Wall Decor

Our walls were looking a bit empty and unfinished so we took a break from filming and editing to add some final touches to our new apartment!

We wanted something that would match the rest of our decor. Light, minimal, and elegant. After endless google searches we finally decided we could DIY our own greenery hoops (for under $30).

We bought hula hoops from Dollarama ($3.00) and gold spray paint ($7.99), greenery ($15.99) and floral tape ($1.99) from Michaels.

We started out by giving our colourful hula hoops a nice gold finish. We spray painted light even coats until we reached our desired colour.

After letting the spray paint dry for 24 hours we arranged our greenery. Once we liked the placement, in sections, we taped the greenery to the hula hoop.

And we’re done! So simple and easy to do. No need to spend $70+ on greenery hoops, especially considering we might decide in a year we want different wall decor altogether.

The best part about this DIY is you decide exactly how your project turns out. We chose to only use greenery, but you can get creative and add whatever you wish!
