Better Together: Lindsay & Chris

We first met Lindsay during a meeting discussing videography for her sister Jacqueline's wedding. From our first meeting the bond that these two sisters had was apparent. At the time we had no idea that Lindsay's big day was also happening just a few short months later, but when we did overhear it while filming Jacqueline's wedding, we knew we wanted to be apart of it.

Being around the Ruck sisters is always a wonderful experience. Both are so very sweet, and their families/in law's families radiate pure joy. When we delivered Jacqueline's video to her and her husband Craig, we thought to ourselves, "I hope Lindsay contacts us." There are just some people you want to be around, and Lindsay and her husband Chris are those types of people. Not even a few hours after telling ourselves we hope Lindsay calls, we received an e-mail asking us if we would capture her and Chris' day. There was no hesitation! We were in!

Lindsay labeled her day "industrial chic." Her reception venue, Pier 21, lays beside the Halifax Harbour. Exposed beam and bricks make this spot so pleasing to all creatives alike! By capturing those details we can take viewers to that day, as if they were there celebrating with Lindsay & Chris themselves.

Greenery was a theme throughout the day, Lindsay's florals had pop of ivory amongst plenty of green, as did her centrepieces, which may we add were made by the bride and groom themselves... as well as custom wooden chargers with each guests name scripted on them. Ok, is there anything these two can't do?!

Lindsay and Chris' day was executed by Chelsea Aboud and Paria Jamshidi of D2D Events. Chelsea is a prominent planner in the Halifax area and now has taken her talents to Ottawa with her family. Lindsay and Chris were literally her last wedding- she flew back to Ottawa that night! We were grateful to have the chance to work with her and chat about the wedding world! We hope we cross paths with her again! Chelsea was working with Paria Jamshidi who took control of the night when Chelsea left. This girl was a pro! Being around likeminded individuals gives us fire in our souls, we're sure we'll see her rocking her talents during many more wedding seasons!

The night ended with Lindsay and her bridesmaids singing a song to Chris. It was AH-mazing. Seriously, take a look, but grab some tissue, these two were dreamy!
